Yay! The MV is finally out~ SJM is looking better than before, but I’m not so sure about the video or song. It just seems so generic (but then again, this is an SM Entertainment group we’re talking about). I might not be able to understand or speak Mandarin, but the singing also seems really weird and out of place. I’m not quite sure why though~ Maybe this song/video will eventually grow on me, but for now, I’m not feeling it.

The only thing that really surprised me and made me watch the video again was how Zhou Mi (0:15) looked. I seriously mistook him for Leeteuk! I hope it’s not just me that thought so. Aside from the boys, Jessica (Girls’ Generation) also looks great in the video (then again, when does she not?).

US Tour: The Great Vacation

So I just came home from seeing GLAY at the House of Blues and all I can really say is that I am amazed. Amazed at how tall Takuro and how short Hisashi look on stage. Amazed at how much energy they all have despite pushing 40. Amazed at what an amazing live singer Teru is (not a single missed note or voice crack! The epitome of perfection). Amazed at how  friendly and cute the whole band (drummer Toshi and keyboardist Seiichan included) is. I thought Coldplay was amazing, but Glay is on a completely different level (after all, GLAY has 10 years of experience on Colplay ;D).

If you ask me what was the best part of the concert, I’d say there was too many. There were so many memorable things. One of them would be Teru’s adorable attempts at speaking English and then mashing it together with Japanese, saying things such as, “So far, ne~” I never expected so much cuteness and fanservice from GLAY, haha. Teru even played along with the crowd, pretending he didn’t know the band’s albums, XD. Teru (yes, Teru did a lot of things) also showed off the tattoo on his left arm, which reads something along the lines of “The sun is always shining behind the clouds.” They played such an amount of songs, I can barely remember which one’s they specifically played, but I was happy they played my two favorites: HOWEVER and 誘惑 (Yuuwaku). Both sounded just like the album version, except better! There is so much more intensity to GLAY’s songs when experienced live. For the encore, they sang “I’m in Love” from pure soul, and you could really tell the crowd was into it. Despite repeating the “I’m just in love, I’m just in Love / I’m just in Love, oh singing my life” part 5-6 times, they crowd just got louder and louder. You could really tell GLAY was enjoying it as well. There were smiles on everyone’s faces. Even the staff were singing along and moving their hands with the crowd.

There’s really nothing else for me to say except that the live was amazing, and if I had the chance, I’d go again with no doubt in my mind. I’d go again later today, but since I have no ride, I can’t D: I hope anyone (fan or not) within a 4-hour drive from LA will go to LA and see them live. If you’re not a fan, you’ll fall in love with them. If you are, you’ll just love them even more.

Need a good scholarship website? Here’s one! Zinch takes a while to set up because the profile is very detailed, but after you finish, it’s worth it. There’s a lot of good scholarships to be found on the site. Unlike a lot of other scholarship websites, Zinch also loads quickly because there are virtually no advertisements on the site.

After a good three hours, I have finally finished revamping the blog. I deleted my 200+ categories, cut them down to 40, and added in 250 tags (which were almost identical to the old categories…), so the blog should look a lot more organized now. :]

Rambling!

Out of all people, I thought my mom would know my obsession over perfecting things, but I guess not. I got really pissed off today when I was cutting & pasting the stupid protective cover over my new digital camera’s screen because it didn’t center and got dust caught in it. I had to do it twice and am still not happy with it. Aside from the dust (which I’ve gotten over), the cutting is kind of crappy, but I’m okay with that now. The thing that got me really pissed off was when my mom kept talking with my neighbor WHILE I WAS TRYING TO CONCENTRATE ON PASTING THAT THING. Then afterwards, she said to me, “Just let it go. You’re going to break the screen if you keep repasting it.” Yeah, really reassuring. That led me to get all paranoid about the screen again. I turned it on, and now I think two of the sides are slightly lighter because I tried to get stupid air bubbles out! I really have an OCD, seriously. And you know, my mom’s the same way. She’s telling me to let it go, but last time she was putting together shelves and a side got a little chipped, she complained about it for 3 days. Really, everyone is a hypocrite (I’m included in everyone! yay!). I really wonder if I’m ever going to get over this. I can imagine driving myself crazy and then just snapping one day. If I ever snap, someone take a video of it. I think it’ll be interesting.

Oh, and since we’re talking about the camera, Hiro took about 200 pictures on it today. He’s taken more pictures than me! XD

My mom is always telling everyone (including myself) that she never forces me to do anything I do not like. Well, that’s a big fat lie. I don’t want to learn how to drive. I hate cars. I didn’t even want to get my permit. And there she is, forcing me to take my permit and to go to behind the wheel. She thinks she knows me and what is best for me, but she really doesn’t. I like to do things at my own pace. If she keeps reminding me to do this and do that even though I already know what I should be doing, it’ll just make me want to do the things she asks of me less. I’m counting. Everytime she tells me to call Bobs’s, that’s another day where I won’t call. Somehow, I see myself as one of those rebellious punk kids, except I’m not a rebellious punk kid. I’m  really just sick and tired of the way my mom treats me. I can’t wait to get out of here. I think that’ll be my prime motivation for getting into Yale now. I just want to be as far away as I can from my mom. Even if I end up in a college near Covina, there’s no way in hell I’m coming back on the weekends even if she came and drove me home herself (Alas! Another reason to not learn how to drive).

It was like hell, and that’s not an understatement.. or is it? Well, the questions were so much easier than AP tests, but for some reason, it was so tiring! By section eight, my neck was on the verge of collapsing or something. Well, it just hurt a lot. For my first time taking it, I think I did pretty well. The only thing I regret about the test was that I really didn’t have anything good to write about for the essay. In the end, I also ran out of time and didn’t get to write a conclusion. Oh well, there’s always a next time.
