Premiere Week!
I forgot to post, so now I’m posting!
On tuesday, BONES and HOUSE MD premiered! As it was tuesday, I missed Bones due to band, but I caught House just in time. Overall, it was a pretty funny episode. So as you all know, House lost his team after they either got fired or resigned. He refused to get a new team, so Wilson took it upon himself to force House into interviewing candidates and getting a new team. So he stole House’s precious guitar with the really long name which was worth $12,000. He left some kiddy kidnapper note he cut out out of a newspaper, and called House using a shaver thing to cover his voice. He told house not to call the police, etcetc. House, knowing it was wilson just went straight to his office, catching Wilson in mid-sentence. Wilson tried to make it look as if he were ordering something and denied the crime, bringing out the cut-out newspaper to “read”. They launched into this hilarious arguement which I can still remember very clearly, but not so accurately on the words. -enter stuff about the patient- House ends up kidnapping one of Wilson’s patients and doing a whole mess of other things, and Wilson tries to stop it by asking House if he had ever heard a string that was tightened too tightly. This is possibly the funniest HousexWilson competition ever, haha. It’s been two days, I don’t remember much about the episode anymore, so I’ll stop now.
Some hilarious quotes from this ep:
“I’m sure it looked easier on Youtube”
“No, not the season finale!”
“You know what terrorists do? They TERRORIZE.”
Wednesday, I started watching Kid Nation on ch.2. Possibly the saddest, funniest, most sadistic thing I’ve ever watched. So parents send their kids into this “community” thing where a whole bunch of kids just live together, cooking, cleaning, doing competitions, etc. I really can’t give a good view of it because this is the first ep I’ve ever watched. Oh yeah, then the competitions decided what class you’re in. Like the nobility don’t have to do anything, the cooks.. cook, the laborers clean things and bring water, etc. I never thought that a kid show could have so much drama. I mean, these kids are fighting over things and some of these kids are real brats. Like that girl in the council, the yellow one, man, such a brat. She’s supposed to be like the leader, but she’s not motivated to move her ass at all. I would fire her if I was on her team, haha. On the other hand, the older kids are actually really interesting too. Like that Greg and Michael (I think those are their names). Those two were fighting over that gold star ($20,000!), and Greg ended up getting it. I felt bad for Michael, since he wanted it for college and killed chickens for the kids. I think he deserved it, but Greg, all he did was unfreeze freakin’ water. Oh well, I hope he gets it next week. The funniest quote from this was “we’re thinking of killing a chicken tonight.” That’s so cute, haha.
Oh, and did I mention, I saw Joanne yesterday! It’s been at least two years since I last saw here. I had lots of fun with her at the tennis courts.. watching her “play” tennis. Jojo needs some practice, but Morgen and I were putting a lot of pressure on her, XD She even lied to her coach, telling her she was going to the restroom when she was actually going to the band field to visit some old buddies like Michelle, who was marching, Carlos, who is our buddy, and Noah too. Surprisingly, Noah forgot who she was. When she left, he yelled to me, “Who was that? I forgot her name. Lets see… Jomato? Was that her name?” Oh gosh, that made me laugh so hard!
Japanese “transfer” students!
Okay, so today at school, there were was a huge group of Japanese “transfer” students. Irene was going crazy over the guys because they were so cute. I have to admit, a few of them were pretty cute, but there was this “gangster” looking one that looked really funny. Everyone thought they were transfer students (but who would want to transfer here?), turns out, they’re taking a language course over at Citrus College. The funniest thing was when Noah went up to the girls and started talking to them. If there was anyone that could overcome any language barrier, it was noah. He started talking to them and they all started laughing. I really wonder what he was talking to them about. Then in Bryant, he said something along the lines of “in Asian countries, the whiter you are, the more beautiful you are. So I must have been so hot to them.” I must say, that made my day. So funny~ Then, my day got totally ruined by english homework. 21 Merchant of Venice questions! It took me a good half hour to finish 7 in class, so maybe I’ll finish the rest in an hour if I stop writing now.
Today in track, we got our two laps timed. For me, it was actually pretty fast! I finished at 4:05, but I probably could have gotten a three minute or somewhere over if I hadn’t sprinted that one warmup lap. Oh, silly me! Among other things. I’m looking forward to going to track tommorrow ’cause it’s weight room. THEN, if we get our grade reports signed, we get to leave early! YAY US! I have a lot more to write, but I’m not in the mood for it. I’d rather be sleeping. I haven’t gotten much sleep these past few days ’cause I end up typing things and I forget the time.
Kamen Rider Kabuto..
… is so much like Power Rangers (Super Sentai) but MUCH, MUCH BETTER. I mean, at least it has a story line and the main character is pretty cute. Besides that, at least Kamen Rider is much more realistic than Power Rangers. Like in Power Rangers, in EVERY EPISODE, someone gets hit and flys like, 100 ft into the air. BUT THEY DON’T DIE! wtf? If you threw someone 100 ft in the air in some unbreathable costume, I’m sure they’d die. BUT THEY DON’T! Then there’s like, what, 10? 15? of these power rangers and they can’t even defeat one bad guy. What’s up with that? They’re pretty weak, that’s why! There’s also a lot more inner conflict and character development in Kamen Rider, but I guess I can’t say that since I’ve only watched Kabuto so far. I guess I’ll write more later, I’m not in the mood to write more now since I have to finish this episode! Go Tendou!
Oh, did I mention, I got my hands on the latest Oguri Note? Lots and LOTS of icons coming up soon. Most of them will probably just be bases and I’ll add text as people want them, since I’m just so uncreative like that.
Hana Yori Dango in N. America?!
For you Hana Yori Dango fans, starting on September 23rd, an original Japanese version with English subtitles will start showing on Channel 18 (the free one you can get without cable) 9-10 pm PST.
I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely watching!
Hana-Kimi Episode 12 END
Wow, 21% rating this time! It’s the highest, huh? Well, it was a good ending, could have been better, but still good. I felt some parts were a bit rushed, but I guess they can’t do anything about it anymore. It’s the end guys! I’m sad to see Hana-kimi end, but at least now I’ll be able to concentrate on schoolwork on tuesdays. ;D
Happy Birthday!
Tomoji Tanabe, world’s oldest man, turns 112 today! I find it so amazing how people can live that long and still want to be alive. If I were that old, I would rather die. There’s nothing to do at that age! Maybe except go on the internet, but that’s it. I’ve been busy with school, too busy to post anything, but I’ll try to make time on saturday to fill in those episode summaries. Now, off to school!
RAW Hana Kimi Episode 11
Want to see it? Too lazy to download?
Part 1 and Part 2
Again, too lazy for a summary right now. If you watch it, I’m sure you’ll get it though. All I can say is, Sano x Mizuki! I almost cried while Sano was jumping. Silly me~ I need more kleenex now.
In other news, I feel like a piece of crap right now. We had a “surprise” German quiz, a history test, and a bio test. History I did find on. It was just 5 questions that had me just sitting there trying to figure it out for about 10 minutes and I just gave up and put whatever sounded right. For the bio test, I knew everything for the most part, but then the 6 themes of biology and the 6 themes of life (or something like that) I messed up big time. I missed Cells in the themes of biology and just didn’t do the 6 themes of life. I put something like “the same as above”, which is half true, but I also need to add metabolism and stuff. Oh well, maybe I’ll get partial credit? ;D As for the German quiz, I failed it for sure. I totally overthought it and put “sein” and misused “ihn”. Silly me, I’ll be okay though. I still have a 99.1% (not including the quiz) I just need to beat myself up for about 5 hours and I’ll forget all about it. Ganbare! ne?
Happy birthday!
To Morgen and Eugenia! It was actually yesterday, but I didn’t get to posting it till today.
I haven’t posted in awhile, school is a bit too busy for that now, but I’ll get to posting new Hana Yori Dango and Hana-kimi episode stuff later on. I just don’t know why people like reading summaries all that much. I got 32 hits for the ep. 11 preview, and IT’S JUST A PREVIEW! I hope you guys weren’t too dissapointed that it wasn’t the actual summary. It came out yesterday, so I’ll summarize episodes 10 and 11.. friday? Saturday would be a better guess though. By the way, thank you for the 109 hits today, that makes me quite happy.
Great Teacher Onizuka Episode 10
So this episode is about Onizuka having to take a placement test in order to prove he is a capable teacher. The Head Teacher said that it was because of parent complaints, but in reality, it’s just a scheme to get him ousted from the school. In order to pass, he has to get a score of 400 or higher, and the average is 350. Unfortunately for him, he can only get a 100. In order to keep him at the school, class 2-4 breaks in the school at night in order to steal the test scores for him to memorize. At first, a physical break in doesn’t work, so Kukichi tries to hack into the computer database but is blocked by the creepy stalker teacher. Of course, all five of them are caught and are given a warning that if they don’t stop meddling, they’ll all be expelled. In order to properly study for the test, Fuyutsuki asks Onizuka to study at her house. He can’t concentrate, thinking about having sex with her. In order to have sex with her, he had to go get his “special” condoms, and back at his house, he ran into the head teacher. I didn’t really get why the head teacher and his family were still there. Did they bring their luggage or what?
In the previous episode (that made me cry! >:[), Tomoko finally went to Okinawa, while Miyabi ran into someone who looked like her long-gone boyfriend, Takeshi, named Toudo. I have a really bad feeling about this kid. When he was taking a phone call, he mentioned something about a game beginning. His meeting her was probably something a rival of hers created in order to get her back for something. After watching a little more (I type as I watch), a Cinderella game is mentioned. It’s probably something the guys at the school do to pass time, making fun of girls probably. —> After watching more, that’s a pretty sick game. Hunting her, beating up Murai. These kids got their lesson! I also feel bad for Miyabi. She was actually happy for awhile, but had her dreams crushed right in front of her face. At least she’ll go back to school now. I guess that’s the more important thing. —> Watching the end, that Toudo kid is dirty, drawing a knife and hurting Onizuka! Why didn’t he say anything about it? I think that’s just crapped up. Now I’m even madder at the Head Teacher for being such an ass and coming up with these dirty tricks to make him quit.
In this episode, I feel really bad for Murai. He cares deeply of Miyabi and must be heartbroken at the fact that she still can’t get over Takeshi and is dating his guy because he looks like him. And even though he knows she doesn’t have feelings for him, he watches over her in his own time just to make sure she’s safe. He even ran into a group of guys, blindly just to try to save her. Now that’s real courage.
I found this to be such a funny episode, I really don’t know why. Seeing the students break in, especially Kuckichi, and failing just reminded me of how stubborn and funny the teachers are. They’re really determined to kick Onizuka out, no matter what they have to sacrifice themselves.
I noticed this just now, but the kid that was abused by Miyabi and stripped in front of the students in order to show them his bruises, called Noboru, looks a lot like Oguri Shun. So I went o Wikipedia and looked it up, and he did indeed play the part! Wow am I stupid. ;D Reading Wiki, he was 17 when he played the part. He does NOT look 17. He looks more like a 12 year old.
Another thing I noticed, Fuyutsuki’s name is consisted of Fuyu (meaning winter) and Tsuki (meaning moon). Her first name also happens to be Azusa, a street name! Man is her name messed up.
Great Teacher Onizuka
So I got bored and started another drama series! Yay me? Okay, so this one is titled, Great Teacher Onizuka. As some of you may know, there was a manga series by the same name, shortened to GTO. The whole series is about a man named Eikichi Onizuka who doesn’t know what he wants out of life, but found himself to be a teacher. He’s not well educated, leader of a bike gang, and is a karate expert, but he was still hired by a strange director. The head teacher, whom he had a quarrel with, is always trying to get him fired and no matter what he does, still views him as trash.
While trying to enjoy his time at the high school, Onizuka must also deal with this unruly Class 2-4. All the students have some sort of hatred toward teachers except two who are picked on. Thus far, they have replaced two of their homeroom teachers and are looking to oust Onizuka as well. One by one, the problem students are converted to cheerful, happy ones that are trying to save Onizuka’s career.
This series has a lot of great morals and advice. At the same time, it’s also very funny and deals with many problems that all teens have today. There’s the student who was blessed with a wealthy household, but her family doesn’t care for each other. There’s the student who is just working towards college and does not enjoy what he has today. There is also a student who is afraid to speak out, but finds his voice and speaks out. One has to speak for themselves and try to find themselves. It does not matter if they once strayed from the wrong path, they can always get on the right one if they just tried. Onizuka himself is a living, breathing proof of that. He was rebellious as the students were in highschool, but he still managed to find himself a job that he enjoys wholeheartedly. If you are or are not one of these problem children, I recommend you watch this series. It will really inspire you to try many things you never have before.
If you’re too lazy to find and download, you might as well stream it at:
