A realization

Life is like going on a journey without knowing where you want to go. You walk aimlessly as you run into dead ends and traps. It’s good to know where you want to go. That way, you won’t get lost along the way. However, if you set your destination too far, too high, too impossible of a goal, is it good to have that destination as a destination in the first place? Realists realize that it’s idiotic to set destinations too far. It’s impossible anyway. Why not just set them lower so they’re at a level that can be easily reached? But isn’t that just a pit stop? Isn’t a destination a place that you want to go no matter how far, no matter how harsh the journey is to get there? Sometimes, it’s not about reaching your destination. Sometimes, it’s about trying your hardest to reach that destination even though you may never reach it in the end. Even if you think you’ll finally reach it in the end, there’s always a rock that will blow out your tires or a leak in your gas tank that will stop you right before you can reach your destination. It’s knowing that you gave the journey your best and being happy with where you end up. It is okay to be disatisfied with the place that you ended up in, but you also have to be happy about where you ended up. You could have ended up in even worse places than where you did. Life is about embracing the destination that you end up in, even though it may not be the desination you had in mind when you first started your journey.

I know I shouldn’t rant..

about my AP scores, but I will anyway. So in the end, I received a 4 in European History and a 4 in World History. Of course, I was extremely happy with my World History score, since I didn’t even take the class. XP The European History one, however, I was extremely disappointed. I was certain I was going to get a 5. Everyone has been telling me that the 4’s were good, but I’m still mad for some reason. I guess not meeting my own expectations has me down as well as the fact that most people got 5’s in Euro. Oh well, I’ll do better next year! :]

Everything about me in four letters

I’m not kidding. These four letters will tell you everything about my personality: INTJ

Last night (or early this morning), I finished Forensic Heroes II and so decided to look for more dramas to watch. I was browsing through Kamenashi Kazuya’s wikipedia page and saw something about a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Needless to say, I got curious. I searched it up and got a link to a test. I took it and got INTJ. Surprisingly, it is very accurate. Here is some facts about INTJ people! (I pretty much just copied, pasted, and rewrote a bit to make it flow better. Don’t kill me please.)

  • INTJ is commonly referred to as “the scientist”. (Notice my screenname?)
  • INTJ’s are perfectionists and disregard authority. (…)
  • Personal relationships, especially romantic ones, can be the INTJ’s weak point. This is because many INTJ’s do not understand social rituals. The most fundamental problem is that INTJ’s really want people to make sense. (People who know me will know this is so correct. Relationships and all the crap don’t make sense to me. It’s like speaking to me in Spanisch. People, their actions, and their thoughts confuse me the most though.)
  • INTJ’s are more comfortable working alone than with other people. (I HATE working with other people, unless it’s someone I know well, and that person is capable of doing shoulder-to-shoulder work with me.)
  • INTJ’s are not usually as sociable as others, although they are prepared to take the lead if nobody else is up to the task, or they see a major weakness in the current leadership. They are natural, but not eager, leaders, only stepping forward when it becomes obvious to them that they are the best for the job. (Band. ;})
  • INTJ’s make decisions quickly as they tend to make all the decisions. Though they are decisive, they are always open-minded to new evidence and new ideas, flexible in their planning to accommodate changing situations. They are excellent at judging the usefulness of ideas and will apply whatever seems most efficient to them in accomplishing their clearly envisioned goals. They work best when given large amounts of autonomy and creative freedom. They harbor an innate desire to express themselves; that is to be creative by conceptualizing their own intellectual designs. (Bio class, XD. I’m such an authoritarian D: No one ever gets a say in what our group does except me (unless I’m looking for their opinions on something).)
  • INTJ’s do not recognize authority based on tradition, rank, or title. (It’s all about ability!)
  • INTJ’s tend to be very pragmatic and logical individuals, often with an individualistic bent and a low tolerance for spin or rampant emotionalism. (XD)
  • INTJ’s are not susceptible to catchphrases. (They make me laugh)
  • To INTJs, what matters is getting it done – but ALSO learning the principles of how to get it done efficiently and well, as on a “professional” quality level – and they have a tendency to give little thought to personal cost in getting there. (So true, so true…)
  • INTJ’s are usually difficult to get to know well, and difficult to get close to. Those who are close to the INTJ will highly value them for their ideas and knowledge. (hahaha - I laughed at this one.)
  • Many INTJs believe that they are always right. ( Yue Bing! -_________-;; )
  • Some people may have a difficult time accepting what they see as a “superior attitude” or “snobbery”. Not to imply that INTJ’s are snobbish, just that some people with strong Feeling preferences may perceive them that way. (This reminds me of what Tuan-Ahn said about me.)
  • INTJ’s natural partner is the ENFP, or the ENTP. (ENFP = Michelle! XD)

(off-topic) That reminds me! Maou is out already on Veoh.com. No subs, but STORMY should have it out in two days. The group is very efficient and reliable. I’m looking forward to their hard work.

Don’t you just hate it…

When you think you know what you’re thinking, but in fact, there might be something hiding deep in your unconscious mind that you don’t know about? I hate it. It’s times like those that I feel like I don’t know myself and I feel that I’m trying to hide something from myself without knowing it. To put it simply, I had two interesting and enlightening conversations last night. They made me really confused - but I’m glad I had those conversations. They gave me a lot to think about.

And something to add. Don’t you get so confused when your body does something that you had no intention on doing? That it just happens, and you’re left wondering what caused it to happen? I’m so confused right now and I feel like a lot of my nerves are in shreds. It’s so troublesome to be human - to have human emotions and to be able to think so complexly. Wouldn’t it be better if we were all just single celled organisms, working for our survival and not having to think about anything else but just that?

Mr. Haygood…

is totally sexist and mean.

I swear, he is the most annoying teacher I have ever met. About every 30 minutes, he likes to mention how girls don’t know how to drive. Generally, it’s true, but seriously, it annoys me. I hate it when teachers just make generalizations like that.

Oh, then there’s another problem with my name. Like with all the teachers that don’t know me, he has been calling me Yolanda for the past 5 days and even has that on his grading sheet. When I told him that my name was spelled with a “t”, he got all pissed off and said in this really annoyed tone, “Is that so?”. So yeah, I don’t like him. I wish I had taken art instead of stupid driver’s ed. It really is boring in there, and I don’t learn anything, which makes me even more mad than I am now.

Oh, and I’m thinking about starting a post question every time I post something. It’s meant to make people reply, because I like getting replies and it’s fun to post random questions. Okay! First question: Why the heck would an eighteen-year old boy steal $17.50 from two children’s lemonade stand? (Go Yahoo! the story if you don’t know about it already. It really is funny and sad at the same time)

Books

I jut realized how badly I need another bookshelf. The whole bottom row is filled with folders with my past schoolwork (6th grade onward) and the rest is just any other books and random things I could fit in there. The whole thing is so packed, I had to turn my smaller books sideways so I could make more room. Now I can’t find any books to read. -___________- I’m planning on starting and finishing Jane Eyre this week, if Maplestory permitting. ;D I swear, once I go on Maplestory, I don’t log off unless I need to go eat or sleep - which is just about never. By the way, I’m level 39 already! I outleveled Brandon very badly and I’m just about passing Belle. I logged off two hours early today to let them pass me though. I’m looking forward to Barnes & Nobles tommorrow as well as Viva La Vida!

Oh, now I remember why I was writing a wordpress post. 2B and 3B pencils. Brandon, Brian, Morgen, and Hiro needed them, and I only had two 3B pencils. Brian and Morgen got them, and Brandon couldn’t find one. Poor Brandon. DD: I’ll let you borrow my 6B, H, or B pencil. :DD

Grad Nite! :D

Just got back from Grad Nite, and I must say, I have more energy now than I did at any point during Grad Nite. (24+ hours without sleep! yay!) Overall, it was fun but also tiring at the same time. I have never been in a line so long to get in a ride nor have I ever seen so many crazy kids in Disneyland at one time. Thank you once again for inviting me, Albert! :D

Let’s start with getting there. I went and picked up Albert, Raymond, and Derek and we got dropped off at the parking lot around 9:20, 10 minutes before we were supposed to meet up. We waited there for about an hour for everyone to get there, so by the time we got on the busses,  (#4!! of 6) it was about 10:30 already. The trip there was pretty fun. It took about an hour and all Albert and I did was talk about Death Note while Chris slept and Raymond talked to other people. We got in a debate what L’s assistant was named, and we ended up calling Mitsue about it — and it turns out she was right about him being called Watari! (I was close. I thought of Wataru) When we got there, we got a speech about what not to bring, etc. We weren’t supposed to wear anything with a logo bigger than our fist, so Raymond had to take off his shirt (since the Ecko logo covered half his shirt) and wear his thin undershirt for the rest of the night, XD. Then the lady said in about 10 minutes, a guy would come to get us out and lead us to the gate, but that took about an hour. So by the time we got out of the bus, it was around 12. In order to get through, we had to get patted down, and surprisingly, even though the girl’s line was longer, I finished way quicker than the guys.

We immediately went to Space Mountain, but we didn’t get a chance to go then because the wait was 120 minutes (aka 2 hours). We ended up just walking around for awhile through a huge throng of people. They were all dancing crazily to all these weird rap/pop songs that Raymond knew all the lyrics to. When we were getting to the Haunted Mansion (is that what it is called?), a slow rock-ish song was played. Raymond said, “No one can dance to something like this!”, but then, some girl walked past us dancing to it. PWNED! But yeah, so we went to the Haunted Mansion. The wait was maybe 30 minutes or less. It wasn’t that bad. The ride was just as normal, and I get a really old ghost at the end, XD.

After Haunted Mansion, we looked at a lot of the rides, and noticed all of them were pretty long. An upwards of 50+ minutes wait. So we decided to eat first, then go wait 2 hours for Space Mountain. Of course, the food as very expensive. A slice of pizza and a drink = ~$10. Then, we literally waited for 2 hours to get to Space Mountain. I think it was worth it though. All that time falling asleep in the line, and right after, I was wide awake. It seemed really fast and cold in there. The picture didn’t come out all that great. Raymond didn’t make a face, Chris was asleep, Albert = ?, and I made bunny ears on Chris. Oh, and while waiting in line for the ride, Chris kept falling asleep, so we had to keep pushing him along. One of the times, he rolled up into a little ball and was squating on the ground. Some girl behind us almost tripped on him, XD.

After that, we walked around, and by this time, most of the people were pretty dead already. Maybe around 3-4? Either they were dancing or just sitting/sleeping on benches. We saw Billy, Sarah Guest (?), and Michael Cossey, so we went to the Indiana Jones train ride with them! The ride had been closed, but then right when they came, it opened! We were lucky and the wait was less than 5 minutes. The ride was pretty fun. Not as intense as I remembered though. I ended up getting paired up with Raymond and Billy on this ride, and they just kept talking about how Albert had asked me to Grad Nite, but I was not spending enough time with him, and then they started comparing me to a prom date who didn’t spend time with her date. (I sort of didn’t get this) After that, we went our separate ways because Billy said he wanted to go dancing/raving.

We went to the Buzz Lightyear ride (Space Blasters?) afterward. I got level 3, over 33,000 points. Chris was asleep the whole time, but he still got 4,000 points (he had his hand on the button the whole time, and miraculously hit that many targets).

We walked around again, and we didn’t know what to do, so we went back to Space Mountain to see the time on it. It was still two hours, so we played around with that big marble ball - trying to see if we could stop it and how fast we could spin it. We ended up running in to Billy again, so we went on the Pirates ride with them. That was pretty boring, and I almost fell asleep again.

Around 5-6 now, people really were dead. None of the lines had people in it. We went back to Space Mountain, and not a single person was there. Seriously. We ran to the ride and got yelled at by the lady in the podium for the “Honey I Shrunk the Audience” ride. There was seriously 0 minutes waiting time, so we went on it. It was supppperrrr fun, and Derek and Anita was in the ride before us. We were going to go again, but we didn’t have time. I was very disappointed. DD:

So we went home after this. Everyone was pretty tired. Everyone just slept the whole way back. Not one person was awake (except Jon Lau) or talking. I was actually pretty hyper after. I mean, I have the energy to type up this wordpress post. ;DD Derek looked like he was drunk when he got home. He was swaying back and forth as he tried to get to his front door. It was really funny.

The order of the rides is probably out of order. I seriously don’t remember much! I was too tired then.

OH! There were also these girls that came from Hawaii there. They had a funny accent. :3

I forgot to mention that there were no trams there. The trip to and from the park, we had to WALK. I had a serious cramp in my right leg from walking all that way.

New Banner!

This one featuring Chinen Yuri of Hey! Say! JUMP. It was from an official photoshop. It’s a shame I forgot who I got it from. When I remember, I’ll post up the name. The title was from a shirt I saw. Yet again, I forgot where, so I can’t give credit. Some expirimenting with light and textures. Enjoy~!

(and yeah, Earth Day was awhile ago. Oh well.)

Scared of hugs?

Ah! I just rememberd something funny that happened Friday. So it was brunch, and Davy just went up to me, put out his arms and said, “Hug”. In response, I said, “No thank you”. He just left and Albert started laughing at me and couldn’t stop. So that brings me to my point. Am I afraid of hugs? Maybe some of you guys have noticed, but I rarely give anyone hugs. Even to people I’ve known for the longest time like Melissa and Michelle. If I do give people hugs, it’s always so awkward, XD Well, I don’t know, just a random thought.
