My OCD
June 15, 2009 at 5:34 pm | In Camera, Family, OCD | 1 CommentRambling!
Out of all people, I thought my mom would know my obsession over perfecting things, but I guess not. I got really pissed off today when I was cutting & pasting the stupid protective cover over my new digital camera’s screen because it didn’t center and got dust caught in it. I had to do it twice and am still not happy with it. Aside from the dust (which I’ve gotten over), the cutting is kind of crappy, but I’m okay with that now. The thing that got me really pissed off was when my mom kept talking with my neighbor WHILE I WAS TRYING TO CONCENTRATE ON PASTING THAT THING. Then afterwards, she said to me, “Just let it go. You’re going to break the screen if you keep repasting it.” Yeah, really reassuring. That led me to get all paranoid about the screen again. I turned it on, and now I think two of the sides are slightly lighter because I tried to get stupid air bubbles out! I really have an OCD, seriously. And you know, my mom’s the same way. She’s telling me to let it go, but last time she was putting together shelves and a side got a little chipped, she complained about it for 3 days. Really, everyone is a hypocrite (I’m included in everyone! yay!). I really wonder if I’m ever going to get over this. I can imagine driving myself crazy and then just snapping one day. If I ever snap, someone take a video of it. I think it’ll be interesting.
Oh, and since we’re talking about the camera, Hiro took about 200 pictures on it today. He’s taken more pictures than me! XD
New Year Resolutions (and SAT results!)
February 16, 2009 at 12:40 pm | In Life, New Year, Resolutions, SAT | 3 Comments(Yes, I know this is a little late, but whatever. At least I’m actually doing it!)
In this new year, I plan to…
Be more truthful to my feelings
Give more attention to others
Be more studious and procrastinate less
Be more understanding to other’s feelings and situations
Be of more help around the house
Be less paranoid
Appreciate my friends and family more
Be less of a burden to those I work with
Be less violent (okay, maybe there’s one I won’t be able to keep >.>)
And on my first SAT, I got a 1950. I was hoping something about 50+ points higher, but I guess I did pretty well for my first one :]
01/2009 SAT Reasoning Test
Critical Reading ___________________640____88%
Math____________________________660____ 88%
Writing__________________________650____90%

I really need to work on critical reading and math. Must get an 800 in math! >:O
Hypocrite
February 16, 2009 at 12:27 pm | In Family | 1 CommentMy mom is always telling everyone (including myself) that she never forces me to do anything I do not like. Well, that’s a big fat lie. I don’t want to learn how to drive. I hate cars. I didn’t even want to get my permit. And there she is, forcing me to take my permit and to go to behind the wheel. She thinks she knows me and what is best for me, but she really doesn’t. I like to do things at my own pace. If she keeps reminding me to do this and do that even though I already know what I should be doing, it’ll just make me want to do the things she asks of me less. I’m counting. Everytime she tells me to call Bobs’s, that’s another day where I won’t call. Somehow, I see myself as one of those rebellious punk kids, except I’m not a rebellious punk kid. I’m really just sick and tired of the way my mom treats me. I can’t wait to get out of here. I think that’ll be my prime motivation for getting into Yale now. I just want to be as far away as I can from my mom. Even if I end up in a college near Covina, there’s no way in hell I’m coming back on the weekends even if she came and drove me home herself (Alas! Another reason to not learn how to drive).
SAT
January 24, 2009 at 5:19 pm | In SAT, School, South Hills, Test | Leave a CommentIt was like hell, and that’s not an understatement.. or is it? Well, the questions were so much easier than AP tests, but for some reason, it was so tiring! By section eight, my neck was on the verge of collapsing or something. Well, it just hurt a lot. For my first time taking it, I think I did pretty well. The only thing I regret about the test was that I really didn’t have anything good to write about for the essay. In the end, I also ran out of time and didn’t get to write a conclusion. Oh well, there’s always a next time.
Hey 2009~!
January 1, 2009 at 9:55 am | In Life | Leave a CommentIt’s finally the new year. And you know what? It still feels like 2008. I guess it’s like one of those birthday things where you don’t feel any different until you look back really, really far into the past. I’m actually really looking forward to the new year. I have lots of New Year Resolutions (that I actually plan on keeping) and lots of exciting trips and tests (SAT! AP!) to look forward to. More in my next post. :]
Post 100: Dips Ahoy!
November 22, 2008 at 2:57 pm | In Physics, Random, Roller Coaster, School | 5 CommentsYayy, my 100th post! :] I can’t believe that I’ve written that much. I hope I can keep writing, but there really hasn’t been anything interesting lately. Aside from me slaving away on schoolwork day and night, nothing is new. Well, there IS Thanksgiving Break (and I’m very grateful for this break). As you all know, that crucial week before a break is always filled with 918023 tests and quizzes, and this week was no exception, especially Friday. Rollercoaster project was being tested, two tests, and a quiz. I was so tired, you could seriously call me a zombie. Good thing all the exams were relatively easy~ The only thing that kept me awake was the roller coaster project.
We started the roller coaster project either Monday or Tuesday. We were given an endless amount of tubing and a roll of duck tape. We could use anything in the classroom or whatever we brought in to make it, as long as we incorporated in our roller coaster: 3 loops, a corkscrew, a tunnel, 3 hills and 3 valleys, and a DRAMATIC FINISH. Needless to say, Brian and Brandon were in our group. Our group got the space at the back right of the classroom where the refridgerator and vending machine is. That was not a very good choice on our part.
Everything went along pretty well. We got in a corkscrew right from the start and had our first loop is already. The first loop was courtesy of my awesome meter-stick-tepee-making skills (and a stool). Seriously, it was awesome. We were getting off to a good start, BUTTT we lost a ball bearing to the evil refridgerator. That same day, Brandon and Brian went in during lunch and added another loop to the lab station. I went in during 7th period and added a corkscrew on the table, a jump, another loop, and all our hills and valleys. We were practically done! It all worked up till then. When we went back to school the next day, NOTHING worked. The tape got in the way of the first corkscrew, and it kept stopping. We ended up removing that first corkscrew later on. We added and removed a tunnel and set up several barriers. It was pretty much the same thing over and over again for the next day. We ended up removing a lot of the stuff we set up. When I went during 7th period on Thursday, my awesome tepee fell over and killed the whole middle portion of our roller coaster. I spent that hour pretty much redoing everything. It was working at about a 66% rate. In the process, I think we lost.. 2-3 ball bearings to the refridgerator. I also added our big dramatic finish this day. I drew a dinosaur mouth and attatched it to a paper “cup” I made. In case anyone is wondering, as Mr. Frogue did, I have NO IDEA what kind of dinosaur/crocodile it is. Let’s just say it’s a mix. So after the hills and valleys, there would be a loop, and the ball bearing would just run into the dinosaur mouth. Cool, no? ;D On Friday, the big test day, the first drop was not working out for us. It just kept falling off! I blame it being too fast and the drop being too steep. Needless to say, during our first trial, this kept us from finishing. All we did to fix it for the second trial was add a few paper barriers to the parts that were unstable. Of course, it went PERFECTLY the second time. :]]
I would say that the two coolest roller coasters were Chris P. and Titus’s and Chase, Carlo, and Jake’s. Chris P. and Titus’s incorporated a jump through a hoop, and Chase, Carlo, and Jake’s made Crystal Light at the end. How dramatic is that!? :O
The only group that didn’t finish till 7th period that day was Eric, Hiro, and Raymond’s group. Hiro ended up knocking off one of the stools that kept the first half of the roller coaster up during lunch, so they had to start over and do everything 7th period. I’m sad that they took out the part that spelled out “emo”, but they ended up finishing after their 5th try, so I’m proud of them!
This really was a fun project. My fingers really hurt from ripping duck tape (which is incredibly strong, by the way), I cut myself with one of those dirty biology scalpels, and we lots about 5 ball bearings in total (which I will probably pay for on the Monday of next week), but it was totally worth it. Looking back, I really don’t know how we did it. I’m pretty sure it should not have worked out at all, but it did, so I’m happy. :] I would retake physics just to do this project.

August 29, 2008 at 1:49 pm | In C-ute, Drama, Gossip, Hello!Project, Japanese, Johnny's Entertainment | Leave a CommentKind of slow catching up on gossip on my part, but don’t these idols ever learn that 1) they are constantly being stalked, that 2) everything related to them is blown to amazing proportions, and that 3) dating is a big no-no (especially for H!P)?
It’s always the same old cycle. H!P artist meets Johnny’s artist. They go on a date. Photos/Purikuras are published. They break up. H!P artist gets sacked. Countless senpais have gone through this, so don’t they know the consequences of their actions? Even if they do, they would still put their careers on the lines for a silly date? If you’re going to date someone, and you’re an idol, at least put on a pair of sunglasses and wear a hat for God’s sake! This whole cycle of scandals is getting pretty old. Sometimes, it’s kind of amusing though.
I just don’t get why idols are not allowed to date. It’s not like they are smoking pot or drinking/smoking underage. (I’m pretty sure the Ohno smoking pot incident is false. I don’t know about Takaki’s drinking/smoking though. I could imagine him doing that.) I guess that’s the Japanese idol industry for you. Trying to keep their idols “innocent”. XD
Funny Canadians (?)
August 12, 2008 at 10:28 pm | In Canada, Random | Leave a CommentJust one quick thing that happened on the way back to the US before I go to bed. On the plane, there was this Canadian (?) family sitting to my right. We were close enough to the ground to see houses and cars pretty clearly.
One of the little girls said to her mom, “There’s no trees or grass here!”
Her brother then replied, “Look! There’s a palm tree over there”.
Their mom then replied, “Oh, that must be all the rich people live”.
So palm trees = where rich people live? I don’t know, I guess palm trees are the new symbol for wealth.
I’m such a pimp.
August 10, 2008 at 9:29 am | In Facebook, Family | Leave a CommentMy little cousin Denise was looking over my shoulder as I went on Facebook, and she naturally started to read the stuff she could read aloud. I stopped on my (fluff)friend to feed it, when she saw that the caption on it read, “I’m such a pimp”. She said, “How do you say that?” I replied, “Nothing, don’t read that”. All of a sudden, she started saying, “I’m such a pimp. A pimp! Pimp! Pimp!” (in a very fobbish accent mind you) Aren’t I so good at teaching children? XD
